Campus’ Harley Buller isn’t just a member of the football team but also the greater Colts community. Saying, “we might not be a powerhouse or anything, but night in and night out, we have fans, friends, and family coming out just to watch us play under the lights every Friday night, and it is very heartwarming seeing everybody come together, and watch the team play.”
Buller told VYPE being named “first team all AVCTL outfielder and getting 2nd team all-state in the outfield for baseball. It was a great feeling knowing that my hard work had been paying off and I was getting recognized for it.”
Although Buller focuses a great deal of his time on his athletic pursuits, his future goals far surpass any field he plays on. Hoping to “better myself as an individual and do stuff for myself whether it is on the field, in the classroom, or just in my general everyday life.”
Not only is Buller striving to improve his future, but also that of those he encounters through his school “Circle of Friends.”
“Circle of Friends is a bunch of students who take time to be around other students in the school with disabilities.”
Buller’s involvement in the group could be rooted in his relationship brother. He shared with us that his brother “is on the spectrum.” In truth, he just enjoys being around everyone “and getting to do fun stuff with them, like helping the Salvation Army with Christmas and being able to be a coach for the super colts basketball team, so it is definitely something I would recommend to anyone.”
