As the Campus High School soccer season gets underway, Aaron Foley is looking forward to seeing how the team’s offseason work translates to the field.
Foley said he is excited to watch the team develop throughout the season and see the progress it makes as the year continues.
“This season I am excited to see how our team grows throughout the season,” Foley said. “I am looking forward to seeing how all of our work over the summer will translate onto the field.”
Foley spent the offseason preparing for the season by lifting weights, attending soccer camp and conditioning.
The work was designed to help Foley enter the season prepared to contribute while continuing to develop his game.
One area Foley is focused on improving is his field awareness. He wants to do a better job of keeping his head up and knowing where his teammates are on the field, allowing him to make quicker decisions with the ball.
“I just want to do a better job of keeping my head up and knowing where my teammates are so I can make quicker decisions on the ball,” Foley said.
Beyond his individual development, Foley wants to take on a leadership role with the team. His goal is to help his teammates improve throughout the season and push the team toward reaching its potential.
“My goal this year is to be a leader on the team that helps us improve throughout the season so we can be the best we can,” Foley said.
While Foley is focused on the upcoming season, he also has plans beyond high school. He hopes to continue his education and earn a college degree while exploring his options for the future.
“I want to continue to get my education and get a college degree,” Foley said. “I am still exploring my options but am looking forward to it.”
