Kiley Maier was chosen as the Campus Athlete of the Month for October. Maier was the Colts top golfer this fall.
“My experience at Campus has been great and I wouldn’t want to go to any other high school,” Maier said. “Some of my fondest memories are last year’s and this year’s golf season with the other girls and of course my coaches.”
Maier carried a scoring average of 92.3 this season and her lowest round was an 80 at the Hutchinson Invitational.
The Colts qualified for the 6A Tournament thanks to Maier shooting an 86 and taking third individually at regionals.
“(One of my favorite memories) was qualifying for state with the team for the first time in Campus history,” Maier said. “ It was great and although it was a little rough it was another great experience and learning curve for me and the girls.”
Aside from playing golf, Maier also runs track and is a manager on the girls basketball team.
Although she has two years of high school left, Maier does want to study to be a CRNA in college and hopes to continue her golfing career.
