Campus’ BreAna Garrett Named Underclassmen to Watch – Presented by Visit Wichita

“Bre is an athletic player that can rebound at a high level for a guard. She is best when she is attacking and getting to the basket,” said coach Robbie Wright.

The sophomore guard is making her presence felt on the court this season so we thought we should catch up with Garrett-Tillemans to get her thoughts on the team.

VYPE: When did you start playing your sport and what position do you play? What position would you like to try?

Garrett-Tillemans: I started playing basketball in third grade, and then took a break for about three years. Started playing again in the seventh grade. I play point guard; I think being a post would be kind of fun though.

VYPE: What do you love most about your team and teammates?

Garrett-Tillemans: I love how motivating, determined, and hyped they are. It’s a great environment.

VYPE: Who has been a big influence in your life, on or off the court? Explain.

Garrett-Tillemans: There isn’t really a “who” that has been a big influence on my life. It’s more of a “what” and I’d say my past has had the biggest influence on my life. Going through life learning and experiencing what most people don’t.
