Q&A with Campus’ Morgan Nedeau – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by WSU Tech

VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?

Some personal goals for me this year are mainly to have fun since it’s my last year playing the sport and to try and end my basketball career on a high note before heading to Montana and getting my adult life started.

VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?

The most fun I’ve had in the last year was getting to visit Colorado and Montana and get to go up in the Mountains and explore and see how beautiful everything is.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?

My favorite teacher I’ve had would probably have to be Ms. McCormack, who is my seminar teacher and she’s been one of my biggest supporters throughout high school and she has helped me through my struggles and when my grades weren’t doing great she helped me get them up and she’s overall a great teacher.

VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?

My favorite athletic memory from high school would have to be when me and my club basketball
team all went to Oklahoma for a tournament, and our very last game, I hurt my leg really badly
and had to go to the E.R., but my entire team and their parents all helped me get to the car
without walking on it, and they all spent the next few hours checking up on me and making sure I
was okay and asking for updates, and it was nice to know that I had teammates that cared about
me more than just on the court and to know that we were an actual family, not just a team, and I
miss playing with them a lot.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

A few teammates that have left a big impact on me are Piper McCann and Emilee Hollinger, who were my point guards for the club since I was in like 8 grade, but they honestly made the game of basketball fun for me and encouraged me to keep playing when I thought I might want to quit and they just overall were really great people to be around, and it was nice playing with them.

VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?

My favorite part about playing on Campus’s basketball team is getting to be a part of a team that works hard and puts in the effort to try and better the program for later players.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you
take with you?

If I could pick any place for summer vacation, it would be Hawaii with my sisters because I’ve heard it’s beautiful, and I would like for them to experience it with me.

VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you
spend it on?

I would $500 on probably getting some more Christmas presents and a dress for graduation and prom.

VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?

I’m in an environmental club which started out as something I was just doing for my sister, but now I actually enjoy it, and it’s a lot of fun.
