VYPE recently spoke with Campus’ Carson Cheever about his athletic career.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
Be super impactful on both sides of the ball and try to be a positive role model for the younger players, on and off the field.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
I have really enjoyed working out with my Marine recruiter and fellow enlistees.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
Mrs. Cline. She has always been super encouraging and supportive of me and my goals.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
Homecoming last year, I had a really good game vs Derby with multiple individual tackles on Dylan Edwards.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Vincent Pirone is a fellow Marine enlistee and we have worked all year to be ready for the season and to be physically prepared for boot camp.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
I have played with a lot of these guys since second grade. There is a strong bond and sense of camaraderie.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
Would love to go hiking in Colorado with Vincent Pirone.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
I would buy something nice for my mom. She has always been there for me from day one and is my biggest fan.
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
I do community service projects with my Marine training group and I have also volunteered my time giving back to the Haysville Jr Colts Football Program.
VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
I am a part of Channel 060. I have always enjoyed videography.
