My personal goals for this year is graduating with my class. Another is getting into the Air National Guard and attending college to become an occupational therapist.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
The most fun I’ve had in the past year is doing sports. Also, I enjoy being around all my friends and enjoying the events the school offers.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
Although I don’t really have a favorite teacher I can say the one I enjoyed the most was Ms.Olson during my Junior year, she made my Algebra 2 class easy to understand and fun, I love how she treats us students and makes sure we understand the assignments.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory so far is towards the end of my junior year of track at my last JV meet, I was told by my Coach that they were considering putting me in the Varsity girls 4x800m Relay and I was super excited to be considered as an alternative. Later on, I was told that at Regionals they wanted me to be running the girl’s 4x800m Relay and when I ran I PR’ed and was second leg and sadly we didn’t qualify for state. Coach was proud and I’m so glad I had the chance to do it.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
A teammate who has left the biggest impression on me is Abigail Nelson. She is really good at pole vaulting and during the cross-country season, she pushes herself a lot no matter what distance and works hard to be the best she can be.
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part about being on the cross country team and track and field is that everyone is so encouraging and we’re all like a big family and support each other.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
If I could pick a place to go on vacation, I would like to visit Hawaii, and to bring anyone is hard but I would my two best friends so we could have lots of fun seeing the beautiful island and shopping.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
If I’d gotten 500 dollars, I would spend it on stuff for cross-country and track and whatever is left over I would use to buy my friends a gift.
VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
Some clubs I’m a part of at Campus are the Environmental Club and the French Club. I joined the environmental club during my sophomore year because I love the environment and the world and I recycle at home. I joined the French club because they convinced me and they do stuff with the Spanish club which was the club I originally wanted because I want to be fluent in Spanish one day.
VYPE: Are you involved in academic excellence activities such as the National Honor Society, Student Council, or other academic clubs?
The academic club I’m in is Link Crew, where we help incoming freshmen adjust to their first year of high school and check their grades and if they need help we’re allowed to help them with their assignments. Also before the first official day of school, we have freshman orientation and it’s a whole day filled with fun and learning about your freshman kids that you’ll get to know all year round.
