VYPE interviewed Campus’ Andrue Klitzing to discuss the upcoming season.
VYPE: are your personal goals for the year?
To win a playoff game because we haven’t my 4 years at campus and I feel like that would bring more kid into the program.
VYPE: What is the most fun you have had in the last year?
Just being around the team during practice and playing “pool ball” after conditioning.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade, and why?
My favorite teacher would be Colby Leeper because he was more than a coach and he would help you talk to college coaches.
VYPE: What is your favorite athletic memory?
My favorite athletic memory would be scoring the opening touchdown last year and the crowd chanting my name.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
There really wasn’t just one teammate but I’d choose the class of 2023 because we pushed each other to the limits and that’s the first time I ever felt like I was on a “team.”
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
The bond that you form with the teammates and just watching everyone grow throughout the year.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation. Where do you go, and who do you take with you?
I would go to Louisiana mainly for the food and I’m 100% bringing my boy Kevin Mejia.
VYPE: If we gave you $500 and you had to spend it in the next 24 hours, what would you spend it on?
I would pay for the college classes I’m taking at campus.
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
I help at The Lords Diner from time to time.
VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
I’m involved with Stuco, Chanel 060, and I’m gonna become a Kansas scholar.
