In a recent interview with VYPE Campus football player Camden Schroe spoke glowingly of “Coach Leeper” telling us “my favorite teacher would probably have to be Coach Leeper, just because he takes the time out of his day to check up on you to see how you’re doing. Coach Leeper always manages to find a way to connect to each and every student. He makes teaching more than just a job.”
A devotion mirrored by Schroe through the acts of service he participates in across the community. Sharing that “I participate in community service with our Little League teams – showing support by helping out during camps and games. I’m also a part of Link Crew in which teachers select juniors and seniors to be leaders for the incoming freshman. To help them get prepared and to be a helpful source for those freshman.”
When asked who among his peers was most helpful in preparing him for what was to come Schroe named “our running back from last year, Remey Buckles.” Recalling that “Remey always found a way to keep me motivated and kept me focused to push myself and work harder.”
A motivation that has fueled Schroe during his Season preparations. Schroe told VYPE “my favorite thing about being on this team is the team bond that gets created and how much trust gets built throughout the year.”
